Holli Crainie, a final-year student at Edinburgh Napier University, is conducting a pivotal dissertation titled “Left Out of the System?” . This research critically examines how intimate partner violence (IPV) support services in Scotland address the specific needs of cisgender gay and bisexual men.
Who Can Participate?
We are seeking participants who meet the following criteria:
Identify as cisgender gay or bisexual men
Are aged 18 or older
Currently reside in Scotland
Have experienced IPV in a same-sex relationship
Why Participate?
This research provides an opportunity for GBM survivors to share their experiences – positive or negative – of seeking support. By taking part, participants can help highlight gaps in service provision and contribute to improving the inclusivity and effectiveness of IPV support services across Scotland.

Participation is entirely voluntary and confidential
