We offer flexible volunteering opportunities. Some roles require as little as two hours per month (excluding holidays or exceptional circumstances) with a minimum commitment of 12 months.

Service Support Volunteer

PVG Scheme Membership for Regulated Work with Protected Adults required.

Help deliver our core helpline service by providing a welcoming, inclusive and responsive service to men, concerned family members, and professionals across Scotland.

Our helpline operates Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, Monday evening 6pm – 8pm and Wednesday evening 6pm – 8pm with email enquiries occasionally responded to outside these hours.

Outreach Volunteer

Help raise awareness of AMIS within your local community by building relationships with organisations, attending events, and promoting our services to ensure more men know where to find support.

Fundraising Volunteer

Support AMIS by helping to organise fundraising activities, assist at events, identify fundraising opportunities, and raise vital funds to help us continue supporting male victims.

Publicity and Promotion Volunteer

Use your creativity to help design promotional materials, create engaging social media content, support awareness campaigns, and help increase the visibility of AMIS across Scotland.

AMIS 100 Volunteer

Support our AMIS 100 campaign by contacting businesses and organisations to encourage them to become AMIS 100 Members or Partners. This role helps build long-term partnerships that raise awareness of male domestic abuse while generating sustainable support for our services.

Please note: Volunteers are welcome to take on more than one role, allowing you to use your skills in a variety of ways.

All volunteers receive a comprehensive induction, together with ongoing training, one-to-one support and regular group supervision from experienced AMIS staff and volunteers.
