We’re delighted to welcome Alannah Norton to the Board of Trustees

Alannah is new to the Trustee role and became involved with AMIS after seeing the opportunity online and recognising how closely it aligned with both her professional skills and personal values. Growing up with three brothers, Alannah has a strong appreciation for the importance of support services for men, and is deeply committed to contributing to improving outcomes for men’s health and wellbeing across Scotland.

Professionally, Alannah works as a Marketing Manager in the utilities sector and brings over a decade of experience in communications, with a strong specialism in digital and public sector communications. Prior to her current role, she spent more than eight years working across the Scottish Government, building a solid understanding of strategic, accessible, and purpose-driven communications. Career highlights include completing the CIPR Specialist Diploma in Digital Communications during the COVID-19 pandemic while working full-time, achieving a high pass mark.

Alongside her professional work, Alannah recently launched a small creative business designing and selling handmade greetings cards, reflecting a genuine passion for creativity and storytelling. She strongly believes in the power of using great communication to design engaging, meaningful content that serves a clear purpose and creates real impact. As a Trustee, Alannah is particularly interested in supporting AMIS’s digital communications at a strategic level – including social media – and is motivated by a wider commitment to helping people, understanding individual backgrounds, and contributing to positive change.
