Domestic abuse can affect anyone, regardless of sex, gender identity, age or sexual orientation. We want to live in a Scotland that is free of abuse. The below list contains different community groups, organisations and services that you may find beneficial.

Local Services

  • Citizen’s Advice Scotland – a national service with a  central branch in Inverness and one in Ross and Cromarty that offers free advice on a range of issues
  • Victim Support Inverness   advice, information and support for victims of crime including court appearances

Community Groups

  • Befrienders Highland  Inverness based voluntary service that offers opportunities for voluntary activities or to request a befriending volunteer for anyone in the area 
  • Men’s Shed – a national initiative for men to socialise and engage in activities
  • Mens Only Project– a range of outdoor and walking activities in the Highlands
  • Mikeysline  Inverness based mental health support face to face or online also outreach to other Highland areas

National Services

AMIS also operates a helpline for any man across Scotland to get advice and information if they are experiencing domestic violence. As well as our services, there is also a range of national services that may be beneficial to men across Scotland. Check out the list of national services.
